I love the red!!! LOVE IT! But it also would go wonderfully with my mother's decor. She's doing colors that are in reds, tans, muted greens... There's a theme I know it.. but alas, it's left my brain at the moment. But anyway... that's why the red background!
Ok.. so I was up late Saturday night doing my best to get my gift done. Originally I wanted to design something for my mom with 3 pictures in the whole. 1 picture per my 3 children to fit on a 16x20 page that I wanted to have printed for her. Yep, she could mat and frame it if she desired. Then I got into it and it didn't look like my oldest would get all dolled up so I could take her pics. Nope, I'm not a professional photographer. Perhaps some day I'll promote myself to "aspiring photographer" but not right now... too much on my plate and not enough funds to make it reality!
So, I thought, I'll do one of my middle child, Kalyssta, and perhaps at Christmas I'll have the other 2 done for her gift. At midnight, my oldest who came by for the weekend surprised me by getting slighly glamoured up (she doesn't like makeup) and said, "Mom... so are you gonna take my picture or not?" And off I went with my digital camera and started snapping away!
My eyes got WAY too big for my britches and time began to tick by through the night. Armed now with about 50 pictures of my girls (I already had choosen 3 of my little Gabriel) I excitedly got to my computer..... On and on my little laptop drooned, whirring away until finally it began to go ever so slowl That meant I had way too much open for the 2gigs of memory to handle. Seperation of my elements began and the pictures took on a new life. My computer also came back to life... well, ok maybe only about 50% revived, but hey, it was enough!
5am came and I had 3 16x20's done of my kids! Gabriel was going to wake up about 7am I just knew it and I had crawled into bed, excited as a child anticipating Christmas morning!!!!
Here are my results... I've found some boo-boos, but that is ok. I'm learning! =)

This is my oldest, Amanda.

This is Kalyssta.

And here is my baby, Gabriel. He's only 2 but if you saw him you wouldn't know it. He stands 38" tall and that was the first week in April 2009! He keeps me going that is for sure. But he is also the real reason I decided on the name for my blog... I do my scrapping at night once he is in bed.... provided I haven't fallen asleep with him first!
Alright, I have a couple other things to do, and I'll get back with another post for my CT with Moondance Creations!
